Octopus

Loved making this sculpture. The professional black earthestone clay from Scarva pottery really handles and fired well and results in a great deep colour when fired, I glazed the ‘sucklets’ (my sons description) and used gold leaf on the beak and eyes. It looks great suspended in a frame in reception at the funky Harrison in Belfast.
